These are a tradition at my old school that I adore. During Teacher Appreciation Week, the Student Government Association cuts out all of these paper apples, has students write thank you notes to their favourite teachers, and passes them out at the end of the week.
After four years, I have a nice stack and it is so gratifying to read back over some of the lovely things my former students said to me. Any time I begin to feel like education may not be where I belong, I go back and read them. They rejuvenate me.
